City Sound (package com.kaffeine.ambient) is an ambient field-recording player. This policy describes what the Android app does with data. Last updated: 30 August 2026.
Scene audio and watercolor images ship inside the app. Playback happens on the device with Web Audio. The app does not create accounts and does not require sign-in. A “quiet for 24 hours” reward is stored on the device only.
The Android app shows Google AdMob interstitial ads after you pause in the app, or when you return after 30 minutes away while nothing is playing. Interstitials do not appear while a scene is playing with the screen off. You can watch a rewarded ad to turn interstitials off for 24 hours. The web player does not show ads.
AdMob may collect or infer an advertising ID, IP address, and coarse device data to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where allowed. Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The app may load the Nanum Myeongjo webfont from Google Fonts when the device is online. That request can expose a typical web request (IP address, user agent) to Google. Field recordings are not streamed from a server.
While a scene is playing, Android shows a media notification so audio can continue with the screen off or when another app is in front. The app requests the notification permission on Android 13 and later for that playback notification only. It does not send marketing notifications.
The app does not access the microphone, camera, contacts, location, or files outside its own package.
City Sound is a general-audience sound app. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
